Are you siblings?
Yes we are. We were born from the same mother. Our father is unknown (He’s not a deadbeat cat though).
Do you track us?
No we don’t. Do note that we don’t earn money from this website and this is just a place for us to learn and share new knowledge. It’s also a good way to help us reinforce our knowledge and we love writing together. We got our inspiration from here: https://terrytao.wordpress.com/career-advice/write-down-what-youve-done/
How old are you?
We were born at the same time as Hercule Poirot. So quite old.
When did Budgie Kitten appear on Google and DuckDuckGo?

We are not really sure when did Google and DuckDuckGo index our site to be honest. But at the time of this writing (May 5, 2025), we did a random Google and DuckDuckGo search and found out that our website was listed on both search engine. Yay!

P.S. We did not submit or request Google nor DuckDuckGo to index our site, so it all happened naturally.

When did Budgie Kitten go live?
We brought Budgie Kitten to life on December 24, 2024! Neither of us celebrate Christmas!

How do you build your website?

We made this website using Hugo and theme Blowfish. (They are fast to build and we would like to focus on the contents of this website).

We host this website on a generic VPS and bought the domain from a generic domain registrar (Any reputable providers will do it).

P.S. We don’t earn money from this website and Budgie Kitten is just a place for us to learn and share new knowledge, and we love writing together. And we are both privacy and security conscious, we understand it’s annoying to be spied and fed ads.

What is your \(\LaTeX\) setup?

We both use Overleaf for writing articles together. And on our website we use \(\KaTeX\) since it is shipped with Blowfish. However, we can recommend MathJax for typesetting mathematical notations.

Mr. Black uses TexStudio as his editor, and MikTex as his \(\LaTeX\) distribution on Windows, and TexLive as his \(\LaTeX\) distribution on Debian.

For Debian, you can just download the editor and the \(\TeX\) distribution from the Debian package using the command line. Remember to change the build path to /path/to/texlive, which can be found using:
